Tonight maybe their toughest road test so far this season… . as the Cardinals face G-E-T. 1st half, David Kvistad crosses over and blows by the defense. He finishes the easy lay up to put G-E-T up 38-26. Later in the half, The Red Hawk defense causing all sorts of trouble for Bangor. Blake Thiesse gets the steal and would find Chris Thompson on the other end . hoop and the harm. G-E-T leads by 12 at the break. 2nd half we go. Garrett Krueger is there to clean up a miss. We have a ballgame, Bangor cuts the lead to Five. However that be as close as they would come. Tyler Scherr darts into the lane and somehow gets it to go. Scherr with a game high 28 points tonight. G-E-T hands Bangor it’s first loss 87-67. Ten-and-five Arcadia making the trip to face nine-and-six Aquinas. Late first half. Aquinas’ Jacob Savoldelli draws the defender and leaves it for Gavin Wetzel who gets the layup. Then Brandon Merfeld is going to take the space given to him by his defender and nails the three. Arcadia final seconds before halftime. nice court awareness by Michael Schweisthal. takes the lane to the basket. Aquinas up nine at the break. and they win by eight. 47-39 Logan goes for a fourth straight win as they host Nekoosa. Early action. Matthew Borsheim with a little scoop pass to Maguire Werner,,, the 6-6 junior finishes nicely and it’s six-nothing. Then C.J. Siegel no-look bounce pass to Calvin Mavin. nothing but net for him from downtown. Logan with 9 three-pointers in the first half. Rangers cruise 71-to-18. Brookwood and Bangor both tied at eight-and-oh at the top of the girls Scenic Bluffs standings. The outright conference lead on the line tonight… . as these two meet at Bangor. Jaclynn Freit getting it started on defense for the Cardinals and she notches three steals in the early going, this one leading to a layup and 7-0 run. Falcons would get their first points of the game off this Allyson Nelson jumper from the baseline. With just under six to play in the first half, Freit with the stop and pop at the elbow giving the Cardinals a five point lead. And the Cardinals don’t reliquish their lead as Freit hits Emma Wittmershaus for the jumper. They each had 13 tonight for Bangor as they stay undefeated in the Scenic Bluffs with a 53-34 victory. Packed house to see 16-and-oh Melrose-Mindoro get a tough test tonight as they travel to Holmen. 1st half, Mesa Byom gets the ball on the block. She spins and gets the friendly roll to put Mel-Min up 5-4 early. Later in the half, Caitlin Young buries three of her 23 points on the night to tie the game at 7 a piece. A few possessions later, Brooklyn Paulson knocks down a three of her own to put Holmen up by two. Later in the Half, Calette Lockington crosses up her defender, and finishes the easy lay up to put the Mustangs up 14-10. Holmen led 34-32 at the half. but Mel-Min rallies in the second half and wins 73-62. West Salem co-op gymnastics hosting the G-E-T co-op. G-E-T on the vault on Laruen Koss lands her backflip for a score of 8.7. Ellie Tschumper for West Salem on the bars as she gets her momentum going for the double back flip dismount and ends up with a 9.4 score. She also wins all-around 36.575 West Salem wins with a team score of 139.65.
