ILLINOIS IS ONE OF THE — IF NOT THE HOTTEST TEAM IN THE BIG TEN…THE ILLINI STARTED THE BIG TEN SCHEDULE BY LOSING 5 OF THEIR FIRST 6 GAMES… SINCE THEN — THEY’VE ONLY LOST 3 TIMES IN 15 GAMES… THAT RUN HAS ILLINOIS SITTING IN A TIE FOR 3RD IN THE STANDINGS WITH NEBRASKA AND MINNESOTA..BOTH TEAMS THAT THE ILLINI TOOK TWO OF THREE FROM THIS SEASON AT THE OPPONENTS HOME FIELD..THEIR SWEEP THIS WEEKEND CLINCH ILLINOIS’ SPOT IN THE BIG TEN TOURNAMENT… THE SERIES WIN WAS ALSO THE 5TH IN A ROW FOR THE ORANGE AND BLUE…THE TEAM SAYS THEY DIDN’T REALLY CHANGE ANYTHING AFTER THE SLOW START — THINGS JUST DIDN’T GO THEIR WAY… DAN HARTLEB:”There were two games in there that I basically thought we threw away. We had opportunities to win it and just didn’t do a good job, so that was a little bit frustrating. But our guys didn’t let that bother them.
