HIGHLIGHTS: Volleyball vs. Auburn — 9/29/19

(rooster crowing) (dramatic music) – A straight set win for South
Carolina as the Gamecocks claim their first SEC
victory of the season here on the opening weekend
of conference action, as we welcome you back into
the Carolina Volleyball Center, with Paul
MacDonald, I’m Derek Scott. Paul, South Carolina had
a tough one Friday night, whenever you lose at home in
five sets, that’s hard luck, they were glad to get back
on the court as quickly as they did, and they were really sharp today against Auburn. – They really were, from the
get go, and really a dominate three-set victory here for the Gamecocks. – Claire Edwards was really
the tone setter for South Carolina, local product,
enjoying a great senior season so far, and a big day today. – [Paul MacdDonald] Some big
swings from her, and definitely the top kill getter, hitting
.471, and they used her quite a bit more, it’s not often you
can get Claire Edwards 17 attempts and be the top
attempt getter for the team. – [Derek Scott] Three service
aces for Edwards as well, Gamecocks win it in straight
sets, to improve to one and one in league play, Auburn oh
and two, they’ll head home for the first time in a
month on Tuesday night, as the host their big rival,
the Alabama Crimson Tide. (dramatic music)
