Driving the Ball with Bryce Harper – Baseball Pro Tips

Baseball Pro Tips: Driving the Ball with Bryce
Harper [INTRO MUSIC]>>BRYCE HARPER: My approach at the plate – two
strikes, one strike, things like that – I’m not a big choke-up guy, so I kind of just
try to do damage on each pitch I can get. Of course, when a hard lefty comes in, [CRACK OF A BAT HITTING A BASEBALL]>>BRYCE HARPER: Or something like that, I’ll
try to be better and just put the bat on the ball, things like that. But I feel like I can do damage in any count
that I’m in. That’s nothing against anybody, but for
me, I feel like I can do damage in any count. But, you know, if I do have a runner on third
and I have to get the job done, then I need to get that job done no matter what.>>BRYCE HARPER: So, there’s certain times
in the game, if there’s a guy on second base, you’re late in the game, no outs and
I can hit a ground ball to the right side, [CRACK OF A BAT HITTING A BASEBALL]>>BRYCE HARPER: And get that guy to third
base for the guy behind me and we can win a ballgame, then I need to get that done. Just like if there’s a guy at third and
I need to hit a ball to the outfield, sac fly or anything like that, I need to get that
job done.>>BRYCE HARPER: Picking your spots depending
on, [CRACK OF A BAT HITTING A BASEBALL]>>BRYCE HARPER: Where the game is at, I think
that is a huge advantage for any team to have any guy on your team be able to do anything
in any given spot. So, I’m just trying to be my best at any
of those situations. [CRACK OF A BAT HITTING A BASEBALL] [OUTRO MUSIC]
