Baseball Pitching : How to Throw a Four-Seam Fastball

Hello I’m John Riedling and today I’m going
to show you how to throw a four seam fast ball. Now a four seam fast ball when we say
fast ball it is just how you hold the ball, it’s in the grip. A four seam fast ball you
want to hold it against the seams that way and the reason why they call it a four seam
fast ball is you have got four seams that is traveling just like that. The reason why
you want to throw four seam fast ball is that is how you get your accuracy and the ball
straight. To get the most velocity and force on a ball you want to hold the ball the four
seams like an egg. You don’t want to hold it tight, you know I can be able to take that
out of your hand just like that. Another key into throwing a four seam fast ball is make
sure your fingers stay behind the ball not to the side of the ball but behind it and
that will keep the ball going straight also. Now I’m going to demonstrate to you how I
am going to throw it. That’s a four seam fast ball.

  2. @NDawg1216 ur a goof.. its supposed to be a ball because it moves outta the strike zone after the batter bites

  3. everyone who's talking shit just quit it, a lot of hitters would swing at that for the ground ball – it's not that far outside the zone
