‘Arirang TV DAY’; event at Major League Baseball Game

Over in New York… Major League Baseball fans were introduced
to the station you’re watching now… during a game between the Mets and Dodgers. It was also to promote the 2018 Winter Olympics
to be hosted by Korea’s alpine city of Pyeongchang. Our Won Jung-hwan has more from Arirang TV
Day. Arirang TV reaches over 1-point-4-billion
households in some 105 countries. Showcasing its presence in the United States,
it held ‘Arirang TV Day’ in the heart of New York at a Major League Baseball game between
the New York Mets and LA Dodgers. The event comes ahead of the launch of Arirang’s
radio channel on the U.S. satellite radio station ‘Sirius XM’ next week,… but the
spotlight belonged to Korean movie star Jang Dong-gun , who threw the ceremonial first
pitch at the Citi Field stadium. Arirang TV CEO, Moon Jae-wan also organized
this event to help promote the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Soohorang and Bandabi, Pyeongchang 2018’s
mascots, appeared at the stadium to help publicize the Winter Olympics,… which are just 7 months
away. Korean pitcher, and Pyeongchang Winter Olympics
honorary ambassador, Ryu Hyun-jin helped Los Angeles Dodgers win the game by 8 runs to
zero. Ryu struck out eight batters, giving up just
a single hit over seven innings. Won Jung-hwan, Arirang News
